Trees can be an amazing addition to any yard and home, adding ambience and reducing energy bills from air conditioning with the shade they provide. Unfortunately, however, for a variety of reasons from an aging or dead tree to local laws, sometimes trees have to be removed. Stumpbusters’ tree removal service follows a few key steps to cleanly, safely, quickly, and effectively remove any trees from your yard that you no longer want.

Our tree trimmers start by making sure to plan out the cutting of the tree carefully to avoid any damage to the area and objects around the tree when it falls. These calculations can get quite precise depending on how close the tree is to any powerlines or structures on the property. Once a clear plan is in place, the tree trimmer will climb the tree to remove any major branches to allow for more control over how and in which direction the tree falls when cut. The removal of these branches also prevents any of them from breaking and falling during the cutting process, again for a safer and more controlled fall. Now that the plan is in place and the tree has been prepared, the tree can be taken down, cut into smaller pieces, and removed from your yard.

In some cases, due to the tree’s height or placement, there will be an extra step where the tree is “topped," meaning the top of the tree is removed to help control the fall. The remaining stump can either be left in the space, or we can remove it mechanically with another service we offer called stump grinding. We offer to dispose of the tree and the branches for an additional fee. Otherwise, the remains of the tree can be mulched, made into lumber, or sized and chopped to be burned as firewood.
